"I initially saw this on the internet and then it was discontinued. I was told that Rawlings had farmed it out and then they took it in house. It was great that when the bag was re-introduced that a Rawlings representative actually dropped me an email. The look, smell and feel of the bag is great. I get quite a few compliments. The bag can hold a great deal of stuff. Here are some things to keep in mind: 1. Given the light color of the leather, dirt and small scrathes are readily apparent. I used some Neet's foot oil and the slight darkening of the bag made this much less apparent. 2. The stitching along the top corners of the bag (not those associated with the zippers) has stretched a bit. This should be bolstered. 3. Come on! For this kind of money, use brass instead of nylon zippers. 4. The original bag design had the the woven leather string effect on the edges of the bag as well as the handle which was reminiscent of a ball glove. Too bad that this treatment was removed from the current version as it would really add that baseball glove feel. Overall, a 4 out of 5. Honestly if you are thinking of getting it, go for it! I hope that Rawlings heeds my comments to make this bag a 5 out of 5 for future customers."

"I waited to purchase a briefcase for work for five years - basically what I saw in the market was too small, not sturdy enough, or otherwise not well designed. That was until I saw a co-worker's Rawlings briefcase. Alas, when I contacted Rawlings to find that same bag for myself, I found that their supply (and supplier) had run out. To make a long story short, customer care told me that cases were at the time set to be manufactured directly by Rawlings, but it would take some time. Well, that time has arrived. I got may case just in time for Christmas, 2011 (a present to self). It is the bag I hoped for, although I realize that others may want more variety. Hopefully, this bag will be a success and a broader product line will be in the offering. For certain, the bag has gotten a lot of positive comments if not for the quality of the construction, then for the nostalgic appeal for baseball games past. The leather specialty product line should have natural synergy with the mainstream baseball gloves. Good on Rawlings!!"
