"I purchased these for my 10-year old softball fastpitch catcher as a part of her first catcher gear package. The best thing about these are that they are easy for her to put on herself. Most protectors are difficult for kids to put on themselves, and a coach has to step in and help. These are really easy to get into, even with knee wedges."

"States that this is for ages 5-9. These properly fit my 11 year old (going on 12 yrs old). The 13" is accurate if you know how to measure shin guards, but I would say that these are for ages 10-12, or a big 9 yr old. Otherwise, fabulous product!"

"My 10 year old loves the leg guards. The allow excellent movement and are comfortable for 6 innings of use. The toe guard and knee guard articulate without hindrance."

"I have purchased many of these style leg guards for our little league this year. I like that they have the age group they are meant for written on them to make it easier when issuing equipment to the appropriate age groups. They are a decent price compared to other brands. Depending on the size you order, you may find another brand to be a couple bucks cheaper depending where you look. They are well padded, a reasonable weight and my players have liked them so far this year. The extra piece above the knee area is nice to have, especially for the younger guys, so they don't take so many foul balls off the thighs. The 10 inch size doesn't have that piece. Also, with Rawlingsgear.com, the customer service and shipping are really good. I've had 8-9 orders with the company now and I have been pleased with all the gear I have ordered, the quick shipping, even with just ground shipping. I will have to hold off judging the duribility until we have had them for a couple years."

"Got this for my 10 year old son. He loves the cool factor and I love the above the knee piece for extra protection but it does add some additional weight to an already heavy piece of equipment. Otherwise very comfortable."
