"I bought my son a -8 Gold Plasma in early 2008 for his birthday. Not only did he love it, but it out-performed any bat used by his team mates. I was about to upgrade his Plasma when he mentioned he wanted the new 5150 instead. So, I recently bought him an all alloy 5150 for Christmas. I was amazed to see it performed even better than the Plasma. I thought it was the same bat as the Plasma with a new paint job. I was wrong! It has much more pop than the Plasma and given that it’s a little lighter than the Plasma (he went from a -8 to a -9.5) he increased his bat speed as well. The lighter weight and the bat’s performance have allowed him to drastically improve his hitting and his improved batting stats have reflected his success. A total of 4 other players on my son’s team have also purchased variations of the 5150. I will be purchasing a 5150 for my oldest son as he enters high school. I strongly recommend this bat to anyone!!!!"

"I purchased the 5150 Alloy two weeks ago to replace a 1 yr old Plasma that broke. The 5150's barrel dented in pre-game BP the second day it was used. We're not at all happy about that. The bat has good pop but durability appears to be a problem with this new product."
