Great Bat
Date : August 22, 2010
"Nearly every serious non-Little League youth team in Northern California has moved to wood bats, therefore I use them for my travel and high school teams now. But, when we play in metal bat tournaments and I get to move back from my Marucci to my 5150, it feels great. Both are 29 ounces but the 5150 is weighted so nicely and evenly that it makes a huge difference. I swear by rawlings from everything from gloves to metal bats to batting gloves to helmets and this is part of the reason why. This bat is one of the best metal bats I have used."

"Big Bang for the Buck"
Date : June 17, 2010
"I puchased the Rawlings 5150 alloy (-3) bat around 9 months ago on the Rawlings web site for my son,s 14th birthday. As a junior league baseball coach I used the bat in various drills as well ,my son in his practices and games uses the bat almost daily. I found this bat overall to have a big bang for the buck, litterly. The ball flys off this bat with a ear shattering "ping".It has been used by several of my son's teammates over their more expensive composite bats. A true testement of the value of this bat. So far with all the use this bat has had during four different basball seasons here in Florida, in the cold of winter and the heat of summer, the bat doesn't have a mark on it. Sorry, but I can't find any flaws in this bat. This is my sons's first of many Rawlings bats to come. I would highly recommend this bat to any ball player who is serious about his performance at the plate."

needs time to get used to

"going from a plasma (which I loved) to the 5150 is a great adjustment. The newer 5150 is end weighted and not balanced at all. It definitely takes time to adjust to when using in games....The bat has pop and will probably be great once I get used to it...nothing like the plasma..."
