"Swinging wood is what polishes you as a hitter.I have used the Big Stick in H,S, showcases9see vidieo and now in college,Its great for BP.Its inexpensive a plus[wood breaks ash or maple]Its balancedunlike bamboo which tends to be topheavy.It carries enough pop to go yard .I know.I'd reccommend this bat for any player little league-college"

"Yes, we'd all like to swing a pro maple bat everytime, but realitically, as a youth coach for 3 teams in 3 different leagues, pro bats can be prohibively expensive, and aluminum bats are I believe, better suited for the kids, This bat is the perfect bat for all around use, Whether for batting demos or fielding practice, it never fails to perform. The balance is good, the available sizes/lengths are suitable for pretty much any adult coach, and the relatively low cost let me make the most of a limited equipment budget. Metal bats are fine for the kids, but for me there's nothing like the knock of a wood bat, and I want my players to appreciate the old school baseball heritage. Very nice, classic wood bat!"
