USE BREAK-IN KIT FULLY

Date : September 28, 2013

"Be sure to overlap glove with ball in glove using band after oiling glove. Works best when you keep ball in overlapping glove with the elastic band in place when not using glove."

Pretty good kit.

Date : August 02, 2013

"The oversized ball and elastic band came in handy. One could use a leather string in place of the band, but all-in-all I was satisfied. The instructions on the bottle of oil said it would be plenty to break-in the glove. I used almost the entire bottle for my son's glove and the glove was still a little stiff even after I caught a few hundred balls."

"That bottle should last for quite a while if used properly. When oiling a glove you should use a light coat and then working on breaking the leather in. Over-oiling a glove can cause the padding so soak up the excess oil which stiffens the padding and can actually cause the break in time to increase. "

Great Product for the Price

Date : May 16, 2012

"It's all you need for a new glove, conveniently packaged together. The oil worked well on my new Rawlings glove, and the wrap and hardplastic ball were the perfect tools to get the glove just right! Can't go wrong with this purchase."

Worth every peeny

Date : November 26, 2011

"I do not know how these new gloves are rated at 50 or 60 % broken in. For the higher end glove this kit is a must to develop a nice pcket quickly. I wasted over a year on the last glove in what was accomplished in 15 days with a better result with this simple looking kit."

"Nice attempt @ a Break-in set. A bit tough to get band on the glove. Suggest a larger version for Softball Gloves."

Break in that glove

Date : June 29, 2010

"I bought a glove (to replace the one from my teen years) when my kids started playing T-Ball 25 years ago, but I never broke it in--just too busy. I recently bought the Rawlings Break-In kit and now that glove is getting some attention, along with one my wife bought for me a couple of years ago. Naturally, the newer one is responding better, but I am salvaging the oldie and getting it softened up and adding a pocket. good product!"

easy to short-cut glove break-in time

Date : May 19, 2010

"It works good to short-cut glove break-in time, but when I used this product to my sons' new glove, the color of the glove changed a bit from red ( scarlet like) to dark one (Cardinal like), which is a bit sad."
