good product

"this is the second glove like this that i have purchased for my son. the first one lasted him 2 seasons. he loves the glove but i feel for the price and the quality of the glove it should last a lot longer than 2 seasons before needing to be re-stung or just wear out."

Nice glove, but not up to par.
Date : March 08, 2012
"I've had this glove for one complete season and I've already had to replace the laces in the pocket twice.. Another complaint is that the glove is extremely heavy for the position which makes it sometimes hard to control. The quality of the glove is good (except for the laces) and it forms an excellent pocket. I have been modestly pleased with this glove I just wish it was lighter, and that for $400 the laces wouldn't pop twice is the first season of use. Very nice glove, but not functional."

Rawlings Catchers Mitt the Best Ever
Date : February 02, 2011
"Let me start by saying this is almost like the exact catcher's mitt I have. The Rawlings catchers mitt I have was bought in 1982 and is the Johnny Bench replica model. I bought that mitt and used it for American Legion ball, major league tryouts, played baseball for the Air Force and for the past 7 years in my men's senior league baseball games. My boys and other men have asked when I am going to get a new catchers mitt. I always said that this one is all I need. It has been the best mitt I have ever owned and had in my ball bag. I always use it to play catch with my sons. My youngest son has taken up my craft and is a catcher for his high school varsity team. The Rawlings catchers mitt is by far the best quality made catchers mitt I have ever owned and used. You see this mitt that I bought in 1982 I still used up until it broke in my spring training tournament game this past January 2011 at the Tampa Bay Ray spring training complex. Its done, out of commission and no longer useable. I have used every ounce of additional leather to use to stitch and restitch the webbing together. That mitt is 29 years old. I took care of it like it was "gold". It has been in my ball bag and part of my catchers gear my entire adult life to date. I still play mens senior league baseball in the MSBL organization. I would love to have another mitt and this mitt I chose to review matches it. I ask that you consider my review as your winner and would love to enjoy this catchers mitt for another 29 plus years with it in my bag. I plan on playing baseball as long as I can or until the Good Lord says its my time to catch for the team in heaven."

Best Glove I Have Ever Bought
Date : February 02, 2011
"I bought this glove about a year ago and it's still not completely broken in. The glove seems heavy but you get used to the weight. I played through a select and high school season with this glove and it has definantly surpased my expectations. This glove is very durable and looks great as well. If you have the money for this glove I would definantly recommend it. You will not be disappointed."

5 stars!

"I've been a catcher since I was 7 years old & this is by far the best mit I've ever used. I used it during the latter part of last season & I'm gearing up to use it again this year. I can tell it'll be around for as long as I am. As with all Primo gloves & the 2 layers of leather, it is a bit heavier than any other mit. But, it doesn't make a difference when it's game time. I seriously think that Rawlings placed some type of "ball magnet" in this glove because of the way the ball sticks! I wouldn't use any other glove! I've used the Wilson A2000 & Nokano Bloodline mitts.. they don't have anything on this one!"

Awsome Glove
Date : August 17, 2010
"I've had this glove for about three weeks and it has already formed an excellent pocket. The glove is lightweight, and so far proven to be very durable. The glove itself is a beautiful piece of work. It has a very distinctive, deep, and rich color. I also noticed that every stitch is perfect with no flaws or skewer, which is a rarity in the glove world. My final insight is that this is the best glove on the market. You won't be disappointed purchasing this glove, it is worth the money."

Nice Glove
Date : March 10, 2010
"Purchsed the glove for my son and it appears to be a fine piece of equipment. However only time will tell. It is a good bit stiffer than HOH and PP gloves, and break-in has been slower- maybe because we're not using any break-in aids except for primo glove butter and catching??? Love the hand-stitching and excessive leather strips/ties. Got to add the primo glove butter to keep that rich color. It appears to be very durable as the leather is suppose to be of higher quality than HOH. Stitching appears to be of thicker more durable materials, but as I said previously only time will tell."
