"My son was outgrowing his old glove and was looking into heart of the hide and above. The value of the Pro Taper is above what sceptics might think. The break in period was vitually nothing and the ease of catching and fielding improved instantly. He still needs tyo get used to the weight, but does not interfere. Great Glove."

"This is a great youth glove. My 10 year old plays high level travel baseball and the break in time was about 5 throwing sessions. The pro-taper is the way to go for a young growing player. Would recommend this glove for any youth player."

"I bought this glove for my son, who is 6 years old. Almost zero break-in time was required. Very soft leather, and it really looks sharp. Perfect for kids, youth, or adults with small hands. Excellent value for the price. I have a couple of other gloves of equal quality by other manufacturers, and paid almost $50 more."

"My son saved his money and bought this glove himself. I was a little worried because it's the most expensive glove he's ever had and he's only 11. But after making All Stars for the 5th year in a row, I figured it was a good buy. The Pro-Taper provides a perfect fit and he had it broken in after less than 10 days of simple yard catch. Of course he slept with it under his mattress the first 5 nights! Rawlings Customer Service was incredible. We ordered the glove with the engraving option. It was back ordered, but the staff kept us in the loop about the order's progress. I was very impressed that when I called the Customer Support number, a real person answered and did not re-direct my call! The only "non-5 star" issue is that engraving is weak. It can not be felt nor seen in low light (like in an enclosed dugout). I'm sure this is due to the darkness of the leather where they put the name. A warning might have been nice... so here is one for you! Other than that... if you have a son that is 10 to 12 that plays All Star level in-field, buy this glove!"

"Bought this for my 7 year old, he loves it. The feel and quality is excellent. He can use it right away, a small amount of use will be all he needs to break it in. The ball seems to just stick to the glove as he did not feel it was "too big" after leaving his smaller first glove behind."

"I bought this for my son to replace a lower end glove. It is a great value for the quality that you get. My son plays both little league and travel ball so the glove gets a lot of use. There is a good amount of padding that helps to reduce the sting. The only reason for not getting the full 5 stars is because the glove is dark and shows signs of wear."

"This glove is the real deal and worth the $. I bought it for my 9yr. old and its just what he needed. The glove is advertsied as being 90% factory break-in and 10% player and its true. All that was needed is using a the rawlings break-in kit for about a week to form a big pocket, oiling the glove daily with the supplied oil, and playing catch a few times and its ready to go. This thing is a ball magnet!"

"I researched and tried out a lot of gloves on my son but this one just seemed to have all he needed. I took a chance and bought it online here and I am so happy I did. This glove has great leather. It comes soft enough to use right out of the box. We have been breaking it in for a week, but its like it didnt even need it. He never dropped a ball. We had it engraved with his name, and it still was delivered in a week. Awesome customer service. My son is thrilled."
