Description:
This Sandlot model features the PRO I Web pattern, which is a single post reinforced bottom web that conforms to a smaller lighter web pattern desired by infielders, this allows you to better shape the pocket. With its 11 3/4" pattern, this glove was designed for positions that require the players to use two hands to scoop the ball such as middle infielders, especially shortstops that want to use the two hand scooping function. The Sandlot series features a unique antiquing process to make the new leather appear vintage. The Retro Shell Leather provides quick and easy break in. With shell leather palm lining and leather bindings this series looks like a glove that your father or brother would pass down to you yet performs like new. Its Conventional Back drives flexibility and strength.

SandNOT (or maybe)

Date : April 26, 2013

"This glove was intended just a temporary buy after a previous glove failed midway through the season. Due to the low price, it was a good fit. I did not have this exact model, I had the pitcher version. After the end of its first year, the glove was well broken in and working perfectly. I ended up using it for the following year and it finished that season as well. This year however, was different. The glove didn't even make through the first practice without the laces at the wrist and between the fingers tearing. This was a decent glove for what the original price was 3 years ago of $70, however I would not recommend this for any players who are at the professional size field level. And now I am still in the process of breaking in a new glove that is the replacement for this model."

Great Glove

Date : April 22, 2013

"Good solid glove. Take your time and break it in correctly. Do NOT put it in an oven, soak in water, etc. Just lightly oil the leather and go play ball."

"This glove looks great.. just like it came from the movie "The Sandlot"! It comes pretty soft already, not much need for breaking it in. Good glove for the price"

Good Glove

Date : April 19, 2010

"This is the 2nd Sandlot glove I've bought. What attracted me was the way this glove looked. From experience from my first Sandlot glove, it's best to not use glove oil during the break-in process. Using oil takes away the look of the glove and turns it into a very dark, smooth brown. If you like the light-brown shade of the glove, break it in the old fasioned way-playing catch. Otherwise, it breaks in quickly. Took me 3 days from buying it in the store and just throwing a ball into it on the way home, to being game ready. Excellent glove for playing catch with the kid or pick-up games every now and then. I use this glove at SS and 2nd."
