Great Glove

Date : November 19, 2012

"I bought this glove for my 9 year old. He plays on a travel team. We broke it in very fast. He loves it. The only drawback if any is that it is a little heavy."

awesome glove

Date : November 04, 2011

"I bought this glove for my son as an upgrade to the renegade series first baseman's mitt he was using! The quality and workmanship on this glove looks dynamite! Do to little break in time needed for this glove, He started using it and didn't skip a beat on the field. Great glove at a great price. The best I've seen short of a professional series glove costing a hundred to two hundred more!"

GGFBG-RH first baseman's glove

Date : May 29, 2011

"Playing first base with a glove designed for a first baseman really helps. The size and shape makes errant throws, including low, wide, and high, much easier to catch. This GG gamer model is near ready to play right out of the box, and breaks in nicely with each practice session. For the GG gamer series of gloves Rawlings is using a tumbled leather, making the break in time much faster than previous GG models. The glove has a quality feel about it with a sturdy weight and touch. Like the cathers mitt we have of the same series, our team will share this first base glove."

Great glove for the players 13+

Date : May 13, 2011

"We bought this glove for my 13 year old son who is making the transition to the big diamond. As a coach I wouldn't recommend this size for a youngster starting middle school ball, as it will seem huge compared to a LL glove. However, my son is a tall (5'9) pitcher/1B, and this glove will grow with him. We tried this one, the Bull series, and Sandlot series. While this was a bit heavier, the leather seemed more durable, and the finger holes were perfect. It sits a little long on his hand, but he has full ability to close it, scoop the ball etc... The quality of the leather is quite good and we had it broken in with ease. We've been working out with it for about a month and it seems perfect now. I like how the H web absorbs the ball on line drives and catches - once it's in there it does not roll around - the web collapses around it nicely. Since using it, I've noticed real improvement in his ability to handle low throws and short hops using the GGFBG-RH. He has great confidence when he wears this glove. The pocket has one of the better pattern designs I've noticed at this price. The only thing tricky with black gloves is labeling these for the inevitable time it will be left behind. I found a silver paint pen in a craft store that works well. Overall we are very pleased with the purchase and I plan to buy one from this series for softball as well."

"I purchased this glpve for my son for Christmas it is a great glove for the money very well made with an easy break in period. He moved up from the Renegade First Baseman Mitt. The jump in quality of leather and construction are huge. Easy worth the money, highly recommended."
